Almost done for the year!

There is only one nest left to be "collared" --that is nest #53 and it will be done this week. It's due date (day 55) is September 26. All of the other nests on the beach have either boiled, closed or adopted and the teams are watching them each evening. Nest # 44 was collared 12 days ago and there is no sign of turtle activity---our fear is that it was washed over by high tides several times and the eggs are no longer viable. The team will continue to watch that nest. Thanks to all the vacationers who have attended Turtle Talk or Children's Turtle Time, purchased T-shirts at the Lighthouse Gift store and visited us and nests on the beach. We appreciate your continued support and interest.
