The sea turtle season on Holden Beach is officially over with the closing of the last two turtle nests.
Nests # 51 and #53 boiled earlier this week with 44 and 89 hatchlings.
Those baby turtles timed it just right to get off the beach before the possible storm.
Good luck turtles...hope to see you back here in 25 years! Thanks to everyone on Holden Beach and all the visitors that we talked with during the summer for making this a great turtle season.
