Another wild Tuesday!

For the 4th week in a row we've had numerous turtles and nests on the beach on Tuesday morning! This week there were 4 new nests. One nest with 149 eggs was moved and the other three covered and left in place. There were also two false crawls this morning. Another Tumultuous Turtle Tuesday!

This was after a reasonably "quiet" weekend. One new nest on Saturday morning. No nests on Sunday. Monday we had two nests and one false crawl.

This year is breaking records for the numbers of nests so early in the season---not just on our beach but across the state.
