June 10th 2011 Unusual Eggs

On June 10 we had a loggerhead nest with a big surprise. Some very unusual eggs more than twice the length of regular eggs. There were 3 elongated eggs up to 5" in length.

One of these large eggs was broken and had 5 yokes. This is nest #10 for Holden Beach this year and 101 eggs from this nest were moved.
