HB Turtle Patrol begins ATV crawl patrols.posted: May 3, 2013, 3:34 PM We started patrolling Holden Beach on May 1. A Holden Beach Turtle Patrol member patrols all eight miles of the beach each morning. All you early risers can be on the lookout for these dawn patrols.The water temperatures are still fairly low...so we don’t expect to see mothers laying eggs until later in the month. Then again mother nature and the turtles may surprise us.
