The Holden Beach Turtle Patrol announces a special program for younger turtle enthusiasts. It’s called “Children’s Turtle Time” and will be held Wednesdays June 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 4 p.m. at the Holden Beach Town Hall.

These programs will feature age appropriate crafts, stories and activities for children ages 3 to 6 years old. The children will be divided into two groups: ages 3 & 4 and 5 & 6. Each group will learn about the sea turtles that nest on Holden Beach. The younger group will make a turtle craft and the older group will be searching for turtle eggs in the sand.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This program is free of charge. For more information on this program contact the Holden Beach Parks and Recreation Department at (910) 842-6488.

Regular Turtle Talk for all ages will still be held Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.
