Three More Nests !!!

Guess the fireworks didn't scare all the mother turtles last night. We had 3 nests this morning and one false crawl. All three nests were moved to safer locations. The photos are of nest # 32 that was laid at 611 Ocean Blvd. W. You can see from the photo that the mother crawled ashore and ran into the enbankment. She then turned east and a short way down the beach found a sandy pathway. She climbed the small hill and laid her nest right in the middle of the path. The 87 eggs in this nest were moved to a safer location away from the foot traffic.
