Busy Time of Year

The Turtle Patrol has a lot of things going on this time of year.
Our morning riders are still out each day at dawn looking for tracks of mother turtles. Nesting season could go on for six more weeks.
This week our teams will start "watching" nests in the evenings. It has been 50 days since our early nests were laid in May. These nests should hatch within the next couple of weeks.
Each Wednesday we're holding Children's Turtle Time at 4 p.m. for children 3-6 years old and Turtle Talk at 7 p.m. for the whole family. These educational programs are held at the Holden Beach Chapel.

Look for red-shirted volunteers on the beach!
