Nest #1 Hatched July 20

Hatchlings! Excited to report that nest #1 boiled the evening of July 20.
There are a lot of number 1s associated with this nest:
First nest on our beach this year (laid on May 12---so it boiled on day 70). The team was there to see 50 hatchlings into the ocean before the lightening chased them off the beach. They saw 5 more hatchlings emerge later in the evening.
This was the first nest dug by new trainee Teresa (she also found the first egg)! Teresa adopted this as her first nest and she was there when it boiled!
This is the first nest to hatch in NC this season.
