Nest #1 and Nest #3 closed

Nest #1 was "closed" and inventoried Sunday evening July 23. The team found 80 shells, 21 unhatched eggs and five hatchlings went into the ocean in front of an enthusiastic crowd. Congratulations to the whole team!

Nest #3 "closed" on Monday morning July 24. The team found 113 shells and 29 unhatched eggs.

Adoption teams are on the beach every evening watching nests that we anticipate will hatch soon. Look for the red shirts and nests that have the trenches dug toward the ocean.

Turtle Talk and Children's Turtle Time will be held this Wednesday July 26 at the Holden Beach Chapel. All welcome.
